American Kickboxing Academy is a combat sports training center located at 7012 Realm Drive in San Jose, California. Directed by pro fight team head coach Javier Mendez, the facility is known internationally for preparing martial artists from beginner hobbyists to championship mixed martial arts competitors. The academy offers structured training in kickboxing, mixed martial arts, wrestling, and submission grappling. Programming is divided into adult kickboxing and MMA courses alongside dedicated youth martial arts classes. Students practice technical striking combinations, defensive footwork, takedown defense, and ground control through step-by-step coaching and live sparring rounds. Facility hours operate Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the gym closed on Saturday and Sunday.
