How the Rankings Work

Rankings are calculated automatically based on major competitive achievements:

• Tournament Weights: Placings are weighted by tournament tier. ADCC and IBJJF World Championships are weighted highest (e.g., ADCC champions receive 300 pts, IBJJF World Gi champions receive 200 pts), followed by Pans, Europeans, and Brasileiros.
• Age Groups & Placements: Placements (1st, 2nd, 3rd) determine base points, with master divisions discounted (0.8x multiplier). Absolute division titles receive a 1.5x bonus.
• Verified Bonus: Verified athletes receive a +50 bonus to their overall score to reward profile authenticity.
• Gym Score Formula: A gym's overall ranking score is the sum of points from all affiliated athletes, plus an AI profile quality score for digital completeness and active live streaming presence.
