Gracie Gym Maine Brazilian Jiu-jitsu operates at 770 Roosevelt Trail, Unit 6, in Windham, Maine. Tracing its organizational roots to Master Crolin Gracie, the martial arts training school delivers Brazilian jiu-jitsu instruction and practical self-defense education for practitioners throughout Windham and surrounding communities. Instruction at the academy is headed by Vinicius Garcia, who began training jiu-jitsu in 2008 at age 16 in Brazil and refined his skills under Rodrigo Castro and world champion Leandro Lo. Head instructor Garcia and the instructional staff guide classes through fundamental body leverage, defensive positioning, guard escapes, and joint submissions. The coaching staff maintains an organized and disciplined mat environment, emphasizing technical precision, mutual respect, and student safety during all partner drilling. The academy structures its schedule across targeted developmental pathways for students of varying experience levels. Course offerings encompass adult Brazilian jiu-jitsu, no-gi grappling sessions, and foundational classes designed for beginners. Training sessions integrate technical breakdowns, structured drilling rounds, and controlled live sparring, enabling students to develop physical conditioning, mental discipline, and practical martial arts capability.
