Alaska Krav Maga & Fitness, LLC operates a martial arts and self-defense training center at 3501 Lathrop Street, Suite D, in Fairbanks, Alaska. Founded by Rob Harley out of a garage, the academy expanded into a 4,300-square-foot facility before ownership transferred in 2021 to Gary Olsen-Saville and Tony. Co-owner Gary Olsen-Saville is an Army reserve medic and former airport police and fire officer who completed defensive options training with Ryan Hoover and has trained in submission grappling for over 15 years. The coaching staff includes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, Muay Thai coach, and mixed martial arts fighter Schon Ellis, alongside military veteran Karlin Swearingen and coaches Connie Blade and Tony. Instruction spans Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga, Muay Thai kickboxing, women-only striking classes, and youth martial arts programs. The facility provides heavy bags, striking pads, kick shields, and scenario-based training equipment. Prospective students can register for an introductory free trial class.
