Fournier's Leadership Karate Centers

Fournier's Leadership Karate Centers operates at 3 Mechanic St in Westbrook, Maine. Founded in 1995 by Sensei Antonio Fournier, the martial arts school provides traditional karate, self-defense systems, and leadership development programs for youth, teenagers, and adult students. Owner and head instructor Antonio Fournier directs the curriculum, bringing more than thirty years of martial arts experience with an eighth-degree black belt in Shito Ryu Karate, a fourth-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate, and instructor certifications in Judo, Krav Maga, and Mixed Martial Arts. The instructional staff also includes Renshi Maria (Fournier) Price, who began training in 1992 and serves as head instructor for early childhood programs. Instructional pathways include Kids Martial Arts, which maintains class sizes of 15 to 20 students and incorporates warm-up drills, technical demonstrations, partner exercises, and character discussions. Adult and Teen Martial Arts groups average 5 to 10 students per session, focusing on empty-hand strikes, blocks, stances, personal safety tactics, and physical conditioning.
