High Ground Jiu-Jitsu operates as a private martial arts academy serving practitioners across the Pittsburgh area, with facilities in Greensburg and Monroeville. The academy provides instruction in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, and youth martial arts programs designed for students of different skill and experience levels. Instruction is led by Owner, Founder, and Head Instructor Tommy Costa, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and Judo Brown Belt who oversees the kid's program in Monroeville. The coaching roster also includes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Dave Marghella, alongside Randy Jones, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and Okinawan Kenpo Karate Black Belt. Programs teach Jiu-Jitsu as a practical self defense system, a sport, and a way of life. The curriculum features adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kids MMA and Jiu-Jitsu, and Mixed Martial Arts training. Additional class offerings include circuit training, padwork, technical development, and light sparring sessions open to all students.
