As a grappling discipline, wrestling places the record in a martial-arts category built broadly around physical control, positioning, movement, and direct engagement without a striking label. That single focus offers a straightforward point of reference for a beginner considering a grappling-centered martial art. It also identifies a clear competitive discipline for readers comparing records by sport, while making no claim about a particular format of preparation.
