Pinnacle Martial Arts Academy

Pinnacle Martial Arts Academy provides combat sports instruction and self-defense training at 2901 Desoto Street in Monroe, Louisiana. Affiliated with Grappling Fight Team, Wall to Wall, AAU Judo, and the Freestyle Judo Association, the gym offers programs for youth, teenagers, and adult grapplers across north Louisiana. Owner and lead instructor Joseph Wells initiated his martial arts training at age seven, earning a black belt in Ishin Ryu Karate before studying Tae Kwon Do, kickboxing, boxing, and freestyle wrestling. Wells commenced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2005, obtaining a brown belt through the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association and Mossey Martial Arts Academy. As an active competitor, Wells has earned tournament medals at NAGA, the Pan American Championships, and the American Grappling Federation, while coaching students to podium finishes. Instructional programs include adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Youth No Gi Jiu-Jitsu, kid and teen martial arts, freestyle wrestling, and kickboxing.
