Shark Pit Brazilian Jiu Jitsu delivers martial arts instruction in Winchester, Virginia. Originally started in a garage in September 2018 by a group of training partners, the academy expanded to house over 2200 square feet of Fuji mats alongside renovated locker rooms and an on-site sauna. Instruction is delivered by seasoned competitors, including a 2024 IBJJF Brown Belt Masters World Champion on staff. The coaching team emphasizes positional control, submission defense, and technical sparring, fostering an active and supportive training atmosphere. The academy provides gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for adults and children, alongside kickboxing, wrestling, and submission grappling sessions. Prospective youth members can participate in Shark Pups trial classes, while adult beginners can access introductory free trial sessions.
