Thursday Night Fights

Thursday Night at the Fights takes place at the William A. Egan Civic & Convention Center, located at 555 W 5th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501. Founded in 1989 by Jim Patton, the organization presents boxing, MMA, and Muay Thai events for the Anchorage community. Jim Patton serves as President & CEO, Emcee, Matchmaker, Promoter, and owner of Jim Patton Productions, LLC dba Thursday Night at the Fights. The event crew also includes certified referee Jarid S., alongside red cornerman Chas K. and blue cornerman Garry L. Events take place on Thursday evenings from October until April, where doors open at 6:30 PM and the first fight starts at 7:30 PM. Programs feature 7 fights a night with one intermission between the fourth and fifth fight. Bouts are sanctioned by the Alaska State Athletic Commission, with matches consisting of three rounds lasting 1 minute and 30 seconds each using 16-ounces gloves. Weigh-ins take place every Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Peanut Farm on Old Seward.
