Top Dawg BJJ operates at 2901 Epperly Dr in Del City, Oklahoma, located near Tinker Air Force Base across from the Del City Fire Department. The veteran-owned academy is led by owner and head instructor Dayvon McCarrell, an IBJJF-certified black belt who began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2009 after serving in the Air Force. Instruction is supported by black belt coaches Charles Garcia, Karlynn McCarrell, and Dillon Hamilton. The adult program features traditional gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, emphasizing core fundamentals, guard mechanics, and submission defense. The school also integrates Judo into its Friday classes to develop takedowns and throwing techniques. Additional striking offerings include kickboxing classes focused on aerobic conditioning and striking basics. Youth martial arts training is split into two age divisions: Little Bulldogs Jiu-Jitsu for children ages five to eight, and older kids Jiu-Jitsu for students ages eight to fifteen. The curriculum develops coordination, discipline, and practical self-defense skills through step-by-step technique and partner drilling. The academy runs classes Monday through Saturday with morning and evening times.
