MMA, No-Gi, and striking give Troop MMA in Sudbury, ON, Canada a distinctly mixed martial-arts focus. MMA brings together broad combat-sport contexts, while No-Gi identifies a grappling category without the traditional gi and striking highlights the stand-up side of the listed disciplines. For a beginner, this combination introduces the idea that martial arts can involve both grappling range and striking range rather than a single mode of practice. For a competitor, it reflects the broad strategic balance associated with MMA, where transitions between ranges matter conceptually. Troop MMA’s record is therefore defined by the relationship between MMA, No-Gi, and striking, not by one discipline alone. Based in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, it presents a clearly cross-disciplinary martial-arts identity through its supplied training focus.
