Vamos MMA & Jiu Jitsu operates at 1708 Church St in Holbrook, New York. The martial arts training academy delivers Brazilian jiu-jitsu coaching, mixed martial arts instruction, boxing, judo, and kickboxing for youth, teen, and adult practitioners. The school features an instructional roster headed by brothers Chris Vamos, a fifth-degree black belt, and Alexander Vamos, a third-degree black belt and licensed acupuncturist. Striking and combat instruction is supported by mixed martial arts and kickboxing coach Moises Arocho alongside boxing coach Leaf Steuernagel, who has trained multiple championship competitors. The coaching team emphasizes technical leverage, joint locks, positional transitions, and defensive counters within an orderly mat environment. The 6,400-square-foot Holbrook facility has two large training areas and organizes its schedule into beginner and advanced programs. Course options include adult Brazilian jiu-jitsu, teen grappling, kids martial arts, kickboxing, boxing, and judo integrated within the jiu-jitsu syllabus. Sessions blend technique demonstrations, structured drills, and controlled sparring, with introductory trial sessions available for newcomers.
