Zachary Martial Arts

Zachary Martial Arts operates as a Gracie United training academy at 2060 Church Street, Suite B, in Zachary, Louisiana. As an affiliate within the Gracie United network spanning more than thirty locations, the facility provides martial arts education, combat sports conditioning, and access to a 24/7 weight training gym for members. The instructional staff is led by owner and head instructor Zachariah Cloonan, alongside program director Rami Patin, a first-degree Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. The academy also includes instructor Vernell Roberts, who holds a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo and a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, as well as boxing and mixed martial arts coach Ricky Stevison. Youth offerings start with Kinder Jiu Jitsu for children ages 3 to 4, followed by Junior Jiu-Jitsu and Junior Kickboxing for developing age groups. Older students and adult practitioners train in Teens and Adults Jiu Jitsu alongside Teens and Adult Kickboxing. Adult classes maintain an average class size of 5 to 10 students, delivering technical instruction in submissions, takedowns, and striking defense.
