Adam Benayoun is the head instructor and owner of Black Cat Jiu Jitsu and a second-degree black belt under Ryan Hall. He began martial arts in New York City as a teenager, receiving his blue and purple belts under Lucas Lepri and his brown belt under Marcelo Garcia before earning his black belt from Hall. As a black belt Benayoun competed internationally and was ranked among FloGrappling's top ten 155-pound grapplers from 2019 to 2023, recording wins over highly accomplished athletes. He has produced multiple instructional releases and an online learning platform, works as an MMA cornerman, and has awarded black belts to students including Ryan Clarke, his first black belt.
