Alex de Araújo Paz
Alex Paz is one of the two head coaches of Clube de Lutas, the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school he co-founded with Kalil Pinto in Seven Hills, Sydney. He is a 5th degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, a multiple-time world champion and a head referee for both the IBJJF and the AFBJJ. Paz and Pinto met in Abu Dhabi in 2013 while coaching the United Arab Emirates national team together. Four years later they combined more than 57 years of shared experience in training, coaching and competing to open Clube de Lutas, which has since expanded to Rouse Hill and the Northern Beaches. The club's name means "Fight Club", reflecting their aim of a place where different martial arts disciplines can train and grow together.
