Alexandre Britto is the head instructor at Alliance Boca Raton and a fifth-degree black belt with more than thirty years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He started training in September 1989 under Grand Master Fernando "Pinduka" Guimarães and won state championships in Rio de Janeiro as a blue and purple belt. In 2002 he received his black belt from Master Sérgio Souza. Later that year Britto moved to the United States and opened the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in Chester County, Pennsylvania, becoming the first black belt instructor in that area. Between 2002 and 2016 his program there produced seventeen black belts along with Pan American champions and World medalists. He remains certified with the IBJJF and continues to teach and mentor at Alliance Boca Raton.
