Alexsandro Gomes Ferreira
Professor Alexsandro Gomes Ferreira is the founder of the Instituto Bom Kombat in Curitiba, which he established in 2008. A Jiu-Jitsu black belt with a degree in Physical Education, he has dedicated the institute from the outset to promoting and implementing social programs that aim to transform lives through education, sport and social inclusion. In 2016 the institute was formally constituted as a non-profit organisation, and it now runs a series of social projects including the Projeto Social Bom Kombat, Projeto Social Antonina, Projeto Social Mestre Sena and the Oficina do Saber, using sport in its educational, participatory and performance forms as a tool for social transformation. The institute reopened at its São Lourenço premises in August 2025.
