Avi Kashub is the head instructor at Renzo Gracie Colorado's main facility in Colorado Springs and brings more than 25 years of experience to the mat. He started jiu-jitsu in 1995 with the Carlson Gracie Team under Marcus Silveira, later trained with the Valente Brothers with a focus on self-defense, and reached brown belt under Dustin "Clean" Denes. He earned his black belt under Stan Beck at the Renzo Gracie Training Center in Weston, Florida, with Renzo Gracie's approval. In 2017 he and his family moved to Colorado with the goal of opening an academy. With a background in physical therapy and as a state-certified paramedic in Florida, he places particular emphasis on students training safely.
