Brent Allen Burniston
Brent Burniston is the founder and headquarters head instructor of Subconscious Jiu Jitsu in North Hollywood. He received his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt from Jean Jacques Machado in 2009 and, as one of Machado's senior black belts and instructors, was regularly called on to teach at Machado's academy in Tarzana and to assist at seminars and conferences with figures such as Dan Inosanto. Burniston is a regular guest instructor at the Grapplers Retreat training camp in Northern California, whose owner has described him as perhaps the best gi instructor the camp has hosted. In 2015 he was appointed Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu advisor to the UFAF, the organization founded by Chuck Norris, and worked with its co-founder and chief instructor David Dunn to develop the UFAF's jiu-jitsu curriculum, teaching workshops of more than 300 students at that year's conference. He has also been featured on the Rolled Up series.
