Brian Ruscio is the owner and head instructor of Grappling Mastery in Eustis, Florida. A 3rd degree Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, he was awarded his black belt by Marcio Simas, a BJJ coral belt who trained under Rolls Gracie, Rickson Gracie and Carlos Gracie Jr., a lineage the academy describes as close to the roots of Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Ruscio is also an official Bang Muay Thai coach under Duane Ludwig and holds a Bang Muay Thai black belt. Under his direction the academy offers kids classes, women's self-defense, adult BJJ, no-gi submission wrestling, USA Wrestling and Muay Thai kickboxing. Students describe him as patient and detail-oriented across every level, and he has also worked with local police departments on their training.
