Brian Beaury is the head coach and owner of Brian Beaury Jiu Jitsu in Watervliet, New York, in the Capital Region where he has lived his whole life. He began training jiu-jitsu in 2008, leaving the SUNY Albany baseball team to pursue the sport, and received his black belt four and a half years later. He has also competed in MMA and amateur boxing, holding a 2-0 record in each. Since 2013 Beaury has trained and competed widely; his results include seventeen NAGA and nine Grapplers Quest expert division titles, the World Championship Grappling black belt open title, a BJJ Tour Connecticut black belt heavyweight title, No-Gi American Nationals gold, No-Gi Pan American silver, and an Abu Dhabi World Pro Trials championship.
