Christian "Pirata" Hernandez is the owner and head coach of 510 Renegade MMA in San Leandro. He is a third-degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt whose lineage runs from Mitsuyo Maeda through Carlos Gracie, Carlson Gracie, Ricardo De La Riva, Marcello Monteiro and Sergio Silva. Hernandez has competed actively for nearly 20 years. His results include two gold medals at the IBJJF Worlds, a gold medal in his division and a silver in the heavyweight division at the 2025 IBJJF Asian Open, and medals at the IBJJF Europeans, Pans and the BJJ Tour US Open. He also spent several years training Muay Thai, compiling a 5-1 amateur record.
