Clark Rouson Gracie

Clark Gracie is the head instructor of Clark Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy, the Gracie Allegiance team headquarters in San Diego, where he holds the rank of 3rd degree black belt. He is the grandson of Carlos Gracie, the founder of the art, and the son of Carley Gracie, a 9th degree red belt who earned his black belt directly from Carlos Gracie and was the last of the Gracie fighters personally trained by him. Clark earned his black belt under his father and, like him, practises and teaches techniques that rely on position and leverage, with attention to the small details that make each technique work. The academy notes that he is the only Gracie family member living in San Diego who is both teaching and still competing regularly. He leads a team of black belt instructors and teaches beginners, professional mixed martial artists and law enforcement.
