Clinton R. P. Terry

Clinton Terry is the Head Coach and co-founder of DAREDEVIL JIU JITSU in Henderson, West Auckland, which he helped establish in 2021. A black belt, he came to jiu jitsu in 2014 after a long wrestling career; he lost his first 40 wrestling matches without scoring a point, then went on to win ten national and three Oceania wrestling titles, all against sighted opponents. Training with his coaches at Tu Kaha, he became a seven-time national and seven-time Pan Pacific jiu jitsu champion, a Pan American silver medallist and a World Masters bronze medallist. He began coaching Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling in 2008, producing athletes who reached the Oceania Championships, Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games, and started coaching jiu jitsu in 2017. He most enjoys helping students without natural talent reach their own goals.
