Daniel F. Rivas

Professor Daniel Rivas is the head coach at Team Rivas Jiu-Jitsu in Montgomery, Texas. He holds a third-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Professor Bruno Bastos and has twice taken bronze at the No-Gi World Championships and Pan Ams, results the academy points to in calling him one of the most accomplished instructors and competitors in Texas. Rivas began training jiu-jitsu in 1997 and has trained with instructors and competitors across the United States and beyond, continuing to work with elite athletes so he can bring current techniques back to his students. He runs both the kids program, which focuses on bullying, self-esteem and healthy habits, and the adult program, and he continues to compete against high-level opponents around the country.
