Danny Morera is the head instructor and owner of North Shore Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy. He is a fourth-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Master Roberto Maia of Boston Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a coral belt with direct Gracie lineage, and also holds a first-degree black belt in karate. Morera has trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1997 and began teaching children martial arts in the early 1990s, drawing on more than 30 years of teaching across karate, kickboxing and grappling. Described by the academy as the highest-ranked BJJ black belt in the North Shore area, he emphasizes technical understanding, safety and long-term development for students of all ages. Co-owner Angela Morera serves as the academy's director.
