Darius Cyrus Kumana
Darius Kumana is the head coach of The Fighting Arts Academy (TFAA) in East London, which he founded together with Marco Nigliazzo after the two had trained together for more than 20 years. Kumana is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt professor and is IBJJF certified, and TFAA is a recognised club within the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. In 2025 Kumana and the TFAA coaching team affiliated with Inglorious Grapplers under Professor Jude Samuel, blending old-school fundamentals with a modern, progressive approach to grappling. The academy was built to be a community-driven gym offering authentic combat sports training without ego or politics, and Kumana leads its BJJ programme alongside a team of black and brown belt coaches.
