Darran Wayne Petty

Darran Petty is the founder, owner and head instructor of Trojan Academy in Kingston, Tasmania, where he leads the jiu jitsu program. He is a 2nd degree black belt, a rank also recognised by Rickson Gracie and the JJGF Global Jiu Jitsu Federation, whose certificate bears Rickson Gracie's signature. Petty has an extensive competition background, with wins at state, Pan Pacific and international jiu jitsu championships. Among them is a victory over Craig Jones at the 2013 IBJJF Melbourne International No-Gi, finished with an ankle lock in around 30 seconds.
