Diego Asenjo is the head coach of Asenjo Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a 5th degree black belt with more than 30 years dedicated to the art. He holds a degree in Physical Education and a postgraduate degree in Exercise Physiology, and has taught Jiu-Jitsu for more than 20 years, using it as a tool to help children, teenagers and adults build self-confidence, self-esteem and social skills while developing healthier habits. As a competitor, Asenjo distinguished himself from the coloured belts through to black belt. His titles include Brazilian National Champion and International Master Champion, along with third-place finishes at the World Championship and the Pan-American Championship. He teaches alongside his wife, Fernanda Asenjo, a black belt under him and a multiple-time Pan American champion, and the school runs kids, kids competition, women's and adult programs.
