Sensei Diego Martins leads KIHON Dojo B9 in São Bernardo do Campo and the wider KIHON network, which under his leadership has become what the school describes as the largest network of Jiu-Jitsu academies in the Grande ABC region of São Paulo. The organisation has spent 18 years building fundamentals, discipline and tradition on the mat, and its name, KIHON, means "base", reflecting a philosophy of technical foundation before belt, discipline before results and respect before victory. Martins's academies offer Jiu-Jitsu for all ages, with classes for children, youth, women and adults, and emphasise technical training, respect for hierarchy and daily consistency as the method by which students progress.
