Gedean Nevitton is the co-founder of Zohar, a jiu-jitsu school in Patos de Minas, Minas Gerais, where students address him as Sensei. A native of Patos de Minas, he holds a black belt in jiu-jitsu, awarded in 2021 and recognised by the CBJJ and IBJJF, and is also a psychologist, having graduated from UNIPAM in 2018. His path in martial arts began early, at age seven, with capoeira. He describes his work as the meeting of two passions, jiu-jitsu and the understanding of human development, and he runs the school together with his wife, Layanne Nevitton, a blue belt and biologist who co-founded Zohar.
