I Made Hadi Wigraha

Deddy Wigraha is the founder and head instructor of Alliance Jiu Jitsu Indonesia and president of the Federasi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Indonesia. He is regarded as the pioneer who introduced Brazilian jiu-jitsu to Indonesia when he returned home in 1998 after studying in the United States, where he had begun martial arts in 1996 under Rickson Gracie and Charles Gracie in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He received his black belt under Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti, founder of Alliance Jiu Jitsu. Wigraha served as head coach of the Indonesian national jiu-jitsu team, including at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, and trains combatives with elite Indonesian military and police units such as Kopassus and Densus 88. He emphasises jiu-jitsu as a self-defence system and a lifestyle, and has worked to make the sport accessible to children, women and the military through academies, tournaments and outreach.
