Iury Souza Debs

Iury Debs, known at the academy as Professor Iury, holds a third-degree black belt under Master Petrus Melo and is described by the school as the heart and soul of Delariva Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Originally from Brazil, he returned to the United States in 2016 and built the school's community from its first wave of students, who went on to become its current leadership. He also has a considerable background in Muay Thai. Now living in southern Florida, he returns frequently to teach the academy's developing students. The school's current head instructor, Professor Joe, earned his first-degree black belt under him.
