Professor Lee Livingstone leads Bigfoot BJJ Bangkok, which opened in June 2016 and is now based on Sukhumvit Soi 36. A fourth-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, he was promoted to black belt in 2011 by Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti, the head of Alliance Jiu-Jitsu, and he has since promoted black belts of his own, including Professor Kook in 2025. Livingstone began martial arts in 1992 with Shotokan Karate, reaching 3rd Dan and making the Karate Union of Great Britain's national kumite squad, and studied Muay Thai for more than 12 years. Introduced to grappling by a friend, he travelled to California in 2002 to train BJJ. He compiled a 9-1 professional MMA record with six submission wins, served as submission wrestling coach for Team Rough House in Nottingham, and owned and ran Bushido MMA in Nottingham for nine years.
