Marc Alan Barton

Marc Barton is the head instructor of Kingston Jiu Jitsu in Kingston upon Thames and a third-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. He is one of a small number of black belts personally mentored by 8th-degree coral belt Mauricio Gomes, who continues to act as his mentor and regularly visits the club to teach classes and seminars and to take gradings. Since founding the academy in 2012 with a handful of students training once a week, he has grown it into a full-time school with several hundred members. Under his leadership the club is part of the Mauricio Gomes Legacy Team, is affiliated with the UKBJJA and keeps close ties to the Roger Gracie Academy in central London.
