Marcelo Antonio Siqueira

Marcelo Siqueira is the owner and head instructor of the Brazilian Martial Arts Center (BMAC), which he founded in Boston in 2001. He began his martial arts journey in 1977 and in 1988 started training at the Chute Boxe Academy in Curitiba, Brazil, under Master Rudimar Fedrigo. A former World Karate champion and South American kickboxing champion, he holds a 4th Dan black belt in Wado Ryu, and his competition record includes six Parana state titles, the 1992 Brazilian National Championship and the 1994 World Championship, along with victories in NAGA and other no-gi grappling events. In 2008 Siqueira was featured in The New York Times for his work as a guest instructor with Winchester High School's mixed martial arts club. He teaches BMAC's private lessons in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and MMA.
