Marlon Colorado is a 3rd degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and the professor behind Marlon Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a BJJ and Judo academy serving Sunnyside, Long Island City and Astoria in Queens. He started Judo in an after-school program at eight, learned boxing from his uncle Julian Colorado at ten while also training Taekwondo, and by 14 was training at Times Square Boxing in Manhattan. After years away from martial arts spent weightlifting, Colorado returned when his two children were young and the whole family began Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu together. He has trained continuously since, earning his black belt from the Rocian Gracie Jr. Academy, which he held by 2018.
