Noah Arnold Tillis

Noah Tillis is the owner and head instructor of Tillis Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Whittier, California, where he was born and raised. He has trained martial arts for more than 25 years and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since age eight, starting under Rodrigo Medeiros in the Carlson Gracie lineage and receiving his black belt through John Ouano and John Ramirez in June 2012, at age 21. Tillis competed at a professional level in grappling from age 14, winning IBJJF American National and Pan-American titles on multiple occasions and superfights for organizations including Fight 2 Win and Five Grappling, and he fought professional MMA for ten years, finishing his career under contract with Bellator. For the past 12 years his focus has been running the academy, which has produced world champions and professional fighters and where he has promoted several of his coaches to black belt.
