Detailed Description

Pedro Alexandre da Silva is a 3rd degree black belt with more than 28 years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, working as a professional competitor and high-performance coach. Born in Araruama, Rio de Janeiro, in 1989, he started training at the age of nine in 1998 at the Araruama Jiu-Jitsu academy under Master Juarez Soares, whose lineage runs from Mitsuyo Maeda through Luis França, Oswaldo Fadda and Monir Salomão. He received his blue belt at sixteen and, while studying mechanical engineering at Universidade Gama Filho from 2008, trained with the Gama Filho team under Master Júlio César and competed in university wrestling. He was awarded his black belt by Juarez Soares in 2015. His competition record includes five Brazilian National titles (CBJJ), five Rio State titles and IBJJF International Open Kuala Lumpur gold in both his weight division and the open class.
