Detailed Description
Phillip Perkins is the head coach of Area 502 MMA in Louisville, Kentucky, the city's only official Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu academy. He is a second-degree black belt under Carlson Gracie Jr. and has taught and trained around the world, including more than two months in Brazil training and teaching seminars, carrying on the Carlson Gracie legacy at Area 502. Several of the academy's coaches have come up under Perkins: Roger Skillman, a Carlson Gracie Jr. black belt who trains under him; Coach Blake, a purple belt under Perkins with numerous gi and no-gi titles; and MMA competitor Dominguez, who trains at Area 502 under his guidance.
