Carlos Machado is an 8th-degree red and black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a BJJ pioneer in the United States. He is the eldest of the five Machado brothers and a nephew of BJJ founder Carlos Gracie Sr. He is the head coach of Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu Association and has trained many notable fighters.
