Rudy Akoni Galima

Rudy Galima is the founder, owner and head instructor of Lokahi Jiu Jitsu in Temecula. A retired Marine, he has trained martial arts for nearly two decades with a background in Judo, and long planned to open a jiu jitsu academy once his active duty service ended. He opened Lokahi's doors in 2022 with the goal of providing a safe, friendly training environment for the community, choosing a name that means unity, harmony and balance in Hawaiian. Galima's focus is on spreading jiu jitsu and its benefits to as many people as possible, and he describes seeing students progress from novices to technically proficient practitioners as his favorite part of running the academy.
