Samuel Hertzog Canquerino
Samuel Hertzog Canquerino is the founder of SHC BJJ and the first-listed instructor at the academy, holding a fourth-degree black belt. He built the organisation on the conviction that jiu-jitsu is a tool for personal and social transformation, and the team develops social projects to reach people who otherwise could not afford to train. He remains an active black belt competitor. At the PBJJF Grand Slam Virginia in Winchester he won a super fight rematch against David Adams, reversing from half guard to secure the decision, and he also competed at the 2024 IBJJF Virginia International Open in Fredericksburg. The academy opened a new SHC BJJ Academy in Caxias do Sul in 2025.
