Sean Roberts is a 2nd degree black belt who teaches at Sektor Jiu-Jitsu in Chino. He began Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2005 at age 15 at Ralph Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Placentia under Brad Jackson and then Eduardo Fraga. With few teens to compete against, he entered adult divisions and began winning, and in 2009 he moved to San Francisco as a purple belt to train under Ralph Gracie and Kurt Osiander. As a brown belt he placed second in the gi portion of the BJJ Kumite, a YouTube reality series, and Ralph Gracie awarded him his black belt in March 2013. Roberts has competed in more than 200 tournaments. His results include the 2018 American National title at black belt, Sport Jiu-Jitsu absolute and middleweight world titles in 2015 and 2016, the 2007 No-Gi World Championship, and multiple North American and American National titles.
