Professor Seidler Rodrigo Ziser is the founder and Head Professor of Gracie Barra West Jordan, a third-degree black belt who leads the school's classes for kids, teens and adults. Born in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he worked as a pharmacist with a master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences before Jiu-Jitsu changed his career. He enrolled at a Gracie Barra school in 2009 to improve his health, began helping in classes as a blue belt, and started teaching on his own in 2013 as a purple belt. He received his black belt under Jefferson Moura on December 17, 2017, promoted at Gracie Barra Matriz in Rio de Janeiro. Seidler has competed since white belt, with results including first place in the Black Belt Absolute Pro Division at Compnet Nationals Canada and gold at the San Diego Summer International Open. His son Pedro also coaches at the school.
