Born in October 1984 and originally from Osaka City, he is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with a professional MMA background: he won the DEEP -65 kg Future King title in 2007 and became the third HEAT bantamweight champion. Away from the mat he lists cafe-hopping, weight training, mountain climbing and reading as his hobbies, and his message to prospective students is simply to enjoy fighting sports together.
