Shinsuke Fukuzumi
Shinsuke Fukuzumi is the representative of Fukuzumi Jiu-Jitsu in Nagoya, an IBJJF-recognised fifth-dan Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and a fourth-dan Kodokan judoka. He made his first six-month stay in Brazil in 2002, returned for another six months in 2003 and was promoted to black belt there, and in 2004 represented Japan at a professional tournament in São Paulo, where he fought Leo Vieira. In 2003 he won the master brown belt featherweight divisions at the Circuito Aberto Paulista, the Masters & Seniors Championship and the Brasileiro, then took the master black belt featherweight title at the third Paulista stage. After ten years of training, and three years after his black belt, he left the Nagoya Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club in 2007 to open Fukuzumi Jiu-Jitsu, crediting his instructor Marco Barbosa. Later results include IBJJF Asian and 2018 All Japan Masters titles at Master 4 black belt lightweight.
