Simon D. Ling
Simon Ling is a professor at Gracie Barra Arnold in Nottingham and holds a 2nd degree black belt. He has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2010, having been persuaded to try it by his brother after about six months of encouragement. Ling says he enjoyed competing early on but came to find the most satisfaction in teaching and watching students develop, and he describes receiving his black belt in front of his teammates as the most memorable moment of his journey. Fellow professor Jack Delaney received his purple belt from Ling and Professor Vanessa.
