Simon Jonathan Glynn

Simon Glynn is the head instructor of JJ Machado French Riviera and a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Jean Jacques Machado. His martial arts background spans more than 40 years, and alongside his BJJ rank he holds black belts in traditional Japanese jiu-jitsu and kung fu, which the academy says gives him a complete, deeply rooted approach to combat. His experience extends beyond the dojo: he has competed in MMA, where he tested and proved the effectiveness of his techniques. Described by the academy as technically precise and calm, Glynn now shares his knowledge as an instructor and practitioner, carrying on the Machado lineage and his broader martial traditions on the French Riviera.
